Located at 4 Chome-4-31 Ichibancho, Aoba Ward, this charming restaurant has become a local favorite, known for its exceptional gyoza and warm, inviting atmosphere.

As soon as you step inside, you are greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of sizzling gyoza on the grill. The establishment’s specialty, of course, is their gyoza, but it’s not just any gyoza-it’s crafted with decades of experience. The kitchen’s precision is evident in the perfectly crisped bottoms and tender fillings that burst with flavor. Whether you prefer your gyoza pan-fried or steamed, every bite offers a delicate balance of textures and tastes that’ll make you crave another plate.

What sets Gyoza No Ohsho apart from other restaurants in the area is their dedication to using high-quality ingredients. The gyoza’s filling is made with a blend of minced pork, cabbage, and seasonings, ensuring a rich and savory taste that stands out from other dumplings. The dough, tender yet firm, complements the filling, providing the perfect wrap for these delectable pockets of flavor.

The restaurant’s menu goes beyond just gyoza. While their dumplings are undoubtedly the star, they also offer a variety of other Japanese dishes that pair wonderfully with the gyoza. The tonkotsu ramen, with its creamy pork broth and chewy noodles, is a standout. The deep-fried chicken karaage is another must-try-crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside. For those looking for a lighter option, the refreshing cold soba noodles are a great choice to complement the rich gyoza.

  • Even though the space between people is a little bit tight, but it's delicious! Sadly, on my next visit, i found something that looks like insect's foot. Need to pay attention about the sanitary of food.

  • Nice atmosphere but a little bit chain style restaurant vibe, gyozas are very tasty here.

  • Everything was great - the gyoza, side dish, soup, even ramen. I loved the gyoza that I ate since it was rich in taste, while the texture was crunchy on one side and soft on the other. The sauce was on point as well, it went well with the gyoza. Would definitely recommend.

  • Great food as usual we have been to other Gyoza no Osho locations throughout japan and they have great gyoza and rice dishes. Great for a quick cheap meal. Very popular among the locals.

  • I’m a fan of Osho. I often visit on Friday night after work and it’s great. The staff know that I don’t like the counter seats and show me to a table when I enter which is really cool. I recommend the Yaki Meishi set - it costs just a little under ¥1000.
